James "Jimmy" Elbert Woods

Jimmy Woods, a beloved dad, husband, pappy, and friend, left this world April 28 to be with Jesus. If you ever knew Jimmy, you loved him. He had a heart of gold and helped anyone who asked for it. Jimmy loved his kids so much, along with his wife Janet, who was his best friend. But everyone knew that the apples of his eyes were his 4 grandchildren. He was the best pappy that anyone could ask for. Jimmy was always there whenever anyone needed him. He was a beloved friend to so many who frequented his cycle shop. Jimmy will be missed by so many. The family is forever grateful for the time that we had with him.  He will be greatly missed.

 He was a native of Athens and was owner and operator of Cycles & More. Jimmy is preceded in death by his father and mother, James Elbert and Agnes “Dean” Farner Woods.

 He is survived by his wife, Janet Howard Woods and a daughter, Raven White (Russell) and two sons, James Elisha Woods (Nicole) and Robert Jackson Kyle (Piper). Jimmy is also survived by four grandchildren, Skylar Woods, Zoey Woods, Katie Woods, and Eden White. He is additionally survived by four sisters, Sondra Hooper (Rick), Debbie McKeehan, Elissiah Mullins (Tom), Jamie Carroll and Ron Million along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Ziegler Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Bill Pearman and Pastor Jimmy Long officiating.
