James Ronald "Ronnie" Decker

James Ronald “Ronnie” Decker, age 67, native and long-time resident of Riceville, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024. He enjoyed livestock trading and was a former employee of TVA.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Harold Ray and Mildred Brown Decker, wife: Patricia Ann Powers Decker, and a sister: Brenda Sue Decker Combs.

Ronnie is survived by his fiancée Sophia Olivero, daughters: Tobbie Woody and spouse, Daniel and Jaclyn Decker, a son: Rufus Decker and spouse, Sabrina, grandchildren: Garrett Cline, Emma Woody, Caden Decker, Searra Decker, Selena Decker, Hope Decker, Trista Decker, Haley Decker, Alyxis Ervin and Whitney Massie.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Ziegler Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Kenny Waldrop officiating. Interment will follow funeral services at McMinn Memory Gardens in Athens.

Rufus Decker, Caden Decker, Matthew Walker, Robbie Lovingood, Rick Goforth, Hunter Gleaton, and Daniel Woody will serve as pallbearers.
