Janet Denise Roderick

Janet Denise Roderick, age 48, of Athens, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at her residence.  Janet is the daughter of Daryle Roderick (Carolyn) and the late Nancy Sue Rue Moore.

She is preceded by her mother, Nancy Sue Rue Moore. Janet is further preceded by her maternal grandparents: Jess Maynard and Viola Doris Yarbrough Rue, and her paternal grandparents, William Bill and Thelma Alma Cook Roderick.

She is survived by her father: Daryle Roderick (Carolyn) , daughter: Jenna Massey (Chance), son: Aaron Owens (Raven), grandchildren: Savannah Owens, Hunter Mullins, Victoria Gann, and Wesley Owens, sister: Kim Moses (James), stepfather: Gary Moore, and her special aunt and friend: Gearldean “Dean” Cline.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Ziegler Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 2:00 PM with Reverend Curtis Walden officiating. Interment will follow at McMinn Memory Gardens in Athens.

Aaron Owens, Rickie Martin, Jake Benton, Tyler Roderick, Brandon Moses, and Chance Massey will serve as pallbearers.
