Jimmy Lee Moore

Jimmy Lee Moore, age 86, a native and longtime resident of Meigs County, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026. 

He is preceded in death by his parents: Lee Arlen and Elizabeth Jane Moore, his wife of 63 years: Katherine Loretta Watson Moore, and a brother: Conway Moore.

Jimmy is survived by his son: Michael Moore (Judy) of Decatur, daughters: Debbie Vann (Jeff) of Decatur and Annette Whitted (David) of Englewood, grandchildren: Harley Moore (Destiny), Lea Owens (Chris), Lana Moore and Arlen Moore, Hollie Wilson, Clinton Wilson, Madison Smith, Kara Whitted Winder, Kata Younger (Morgan), 18 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM Monday, February 16, 2026, at Ziegler Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM at Beta Cemetery in Decatur.
