Joe K. Brannon

Joe K. Brannon, age 92, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025. He retired from Bendix in Cleveland after 29 years. Joe loved to garden, was an avid reader of the Gospel, and attended Hilltop Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Charlie and Thelma Dixon Brannon, a sister: Emma “Sue” Brannon King, and his brothers: Buddy Brannon and Dwight Brannon.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 62 years: Bonnie Summitt Brannon, children: Allen (Beverly) Brannon and Susan Brannon, his siblings: Mary Lee Brannon Tallent, Margaret Brannon Poston, and John Henry (Katherine) Brannon, along with many nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.   

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, from 12:00-2:00 PM at Ziegler Funeral Home with a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Riceville Cemetery with Brother Fred Russell officiating.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
