John William McClain III Patrick, age 63, longtime resident of McMinn County, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. For over 30 years, he worked as a CNA, with the majority of those years was spent working at Life Care Center of Athens.
He was preceded in death by his father: Reverend Robert Lee Williams, maternal grandparents: Russell and Bessie Miller, and paternal grandparents: DeWitt and Vera Organ.
John is survived by his spouse: Robert Patrick, his mother: Judith Ann Miller Williams, daughters: Casondra McClain and Amanda Wheeler, son: John McClain IV, siblings: Lisa McCallister (Terrell), Charlene Oliver, Veronica Galloway, Robert Williams, and Barry McClain, and his grandchildren: Nevaeh McClain, David Lamb, and Kyleigh McClain.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 12:00-2:00 PM at Ziegler Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM with Reverend Ron Morgan officiating. Graveside services will follow the funeral at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Athens.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the funeral home to help with John’s final expenses.
