Johnny Wilcox Obituary
Johnny Dale Wilcox, age 65 of Athens, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at his home.
Johnny was a native of Athens and a lifelong resident of McMinn County. He was the son of the late William and Louise Blanche Cornett Wilcox. He was also preceded by his wife Deborah Russell Wilcox, brothers Rex Wilcox, William Wilcox and Larry Wilcox, and sisters Tommie Wilcox and Judy Tindle.
Johnny worked for NGK Metals for over 25 years and most recently for Walmart.
Johnny is survived by
Sons and daughters-in-law, Jason and Margaret Wiilcox of Niota, and Casey and Tiffany Wilcox of Niota;
Grandchildren Dusty Wilcox and wife Chelsea, Shyann Galloway and husband Michael, Hunter Wilcox, Alex Wilcox, Dekota Curtis and wife Desiree, Austin Wilcox, Jacob Wilcox and Aiden Wilcox;
Great Grandchildren Jupiter Wilcox, Jaydin Galloway, Madilyn Galloway and Caelum Curtis;
Brothers Roger Wilcox and wife Judy of Athens, Randy Wilcox and wife Donna of Madisonville, Victor Wilcox and wife Katie of Riceville, and Danny Ray Wilcox of Riceville;
Sisters Bernadine Bottoms and husband Daniel of Riceville and Lisa McDougal of Athens;
Special friend Sue Hall of Athens along with special friend whom was like a brother, Marshall Watson;
Several special Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services will be at 7 PM, Thursday April 7, 2022 at Ziegler Funeral Home with Rev. Stacy Chambers officiating.
Interment will be at 11 AM Friday, April 8, 2022 at Niota Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Wilcox, Casey Wilcox, Dusty Wilcox, Hunter Wilcox, Alex Wilcox and Chad Wilcox.
The family will receive friends from 5 PM – 7 PM on Thursday prior to the funeral service at Ziegler Funeral Home.
