Jon Nell Wilkins

Jon Nell Wilkins, age 49, a longtime resident of McMinn County, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025.  He was the former quarterback for McMinn County High school, having graduated in 1994. Jon was employed with Dynasty Spas in Athens and Bryant Boats in Vonore.  He loved riding around with his two faithful companions Lola and Mr. Blue.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Dan Thomas and Cecile Cora Pelletier Wilkins, a sister-in-law: Theresa Wilkins, and an infant brother: Dan Wilkins, Jr.

Jon is survived by his wife: Tonya Cline Wilkins, a daughter: Alexis, sons: London Wilkins and Rylan Wilkins, a sister: Dana Wilkins, brothers: David Wilkins and Philip Wilkins (Connie), Thomas Wilkins (Cindi), Daniel Wilkins (Sheila), Kevin Wilkins, and Van Wilkins, along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Ziegler Funeral Home.
