Judith Ann Henry, 78, of Chattanooga, TN died July 3, 2021 at Life Care Center of Athens, TN.
She was born May 15, 1943 in Pine Bluff, AR, the daughter of John Hudson Henry and Ella Thweatt Henry. Judy graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1961 and Ouachita Baptist University in 1964.
A bookworm from a young age, Judy earned Master’s degrees in mathematics, chemistry, and physics. She did research at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. She taught elementary school and high school in different states, and in the summers spread the gospel through Operation Mobilization. She embraced this mission work full time. Her story led her back to the states to Precept Ministries, Chattanooga, TN. She was hired as an accountant but they discovered she had a heart for counseling. Judy was so ministry minded and so Christ like. She could see people the way God sees them. She knew this life wasn’t about her – she knew it was about “HIM”. She served Precept Ministries as a prayer counselor for 30 years, bringing healing and joy to other’s stories and in the process, enriching her own.
