Junior Richard Smith

Junior Richard Smith, age 75, of Etowah and lifelong resident of McMinn County, passed away at his home, on Thursday, June 25, 2026. He was an auto mechanic for Downtown Automotive.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles Smith and Willie Walker Boyd, a sister: Bobbie Smith Sharp, and brothers: John Walker, Jr and Paul Smith.

Junior is survived by his son: Ricky Smith, grandchildren: Nicole Ricker, Abbiegail Smith, Lexi Buckner, Marissa Buckner, and Eli Buckner, a brother: Johnny Harris (Janet), along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Ziegler Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM with Brother Mitchell Bradley officiating. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM at McMinn Memory Gardens.
