Katherine Loretta Watson Moore, age 79, of Decatur passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens.
Katherine was a native of Etowah and longtime resident of Meigs County. She was a daughter of the late Rev. James Earl Watson and Daisy Mullinax Watson. She was also preceded by sister Jane Watson and brother James Earl Watson
Katherine is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Jimmy Moore of Decatur;
Daughters Debbie Vann (Jeff) of Decatur and Annette Whitted (David) of Englewood;
Son Michael Moore (Judy) of Decatur;
Grandchildren Hollie Wilson Clinton Wilson, Madison Smith, Kara Whitted Winder, Kata Younger (Morgan), Harley Moore (Destiny), Lea Owens, Lana Moore and Arlen Moore;
18 Great Grandchildren;
Sister Joyce Nixon (Terry) of Lynn Haven, FL;
Sister-In-Law Diane Vaughn of Cleveland;
Nieces Summer Long and Tomorrow Arms;
Nephews Jimmy Watson and Chad Watson.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, June 6, 2022, at Ziegler Funeral Home with Pastor Dr. Bill Henard officiating. Interment will follow at Beta Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Watson, Chad Watson, Harley Moore, Clinton Wilson, David Whitted and Jeff Vann.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM Monday at Ziegler Funeral Home.
