Larry Randall Bradford, age 79, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 10, 2025. He was a native of Tellico Plains and lived in Athens before moving to The Orange Grove Senior Living House in Chattanooga. Larry was a member of Good Springs Baptist Church for many years.
He was of the Baptist faith. Larry loved listening and singing along with his gospel music CDs. His favorite quartet was “The Inspirations” of North Carolina. He is home in Heaven now praising his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Emmitt and Grace Hunt, paternal grandparents: Vallie Walker (Oscar) and T.J. Bradford, father: Ray Hensley Bradford, mother and stepfather: Gladys Bradford and Muncie Webb, and his siblings: Tommy Bradford, Carolyn Bradford, Ruth Price, Kenneth Oliver, Edward Price, Doyle Hampton, and Danny Barnes.
Larry is survived by his siblings: Helen Oliver, Wanda Hampton, Cathy Barnes, Don Bradford (Teresa), special nieces and nephews: Wayne Oliver (Tina), Pam Oliver Robilard (Tony), Elaine Price Bryant (Clayton), Michael Price (Rachel), Terry Baker (Dawn), Tony Baker (Karen), Tammy Hampton Phillips, Chris Hampton, Dawn Bradford Lay (Rick), Brad Bradford (Heather), and Kim Barnes Hoppe (Kevin), along with several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at Ziegler Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 7:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Pete Mullins officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 14, 2025, at McMinn Memory Gardens.
The Tennessee State Troopers and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Rest in peace, sweet brother. We love you.
The family would like to thank Hearth Hospice of Chattanooga for their loving care. A special thank you to all the Orange Grove staff that have been by his side through the years, but especially those at the Senior Living House who have become an extended family to Larry and all of us. Thank you for the overwhelming love and kindness you have shown to Larry and our family. We love you.
