Larry Edwin Richardson, age 85, a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2025. He was an inspector with Athens Stove Works for 38 years and was an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan. Larry was a member of North Athens Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents: John Wesley and Irene Williams Richardson, his sisters: Kate Moree, Lorene Carroll, and Ann Byrum, a brother: Tommy Richardson, and grandchildren: Samantha Richardson and T. J. Richardson.
Larry is survived by his wife of 65 years: Geraldine Dunsmore Richardson, daughter: Angie Rossini (Jason), son: Tim Richardson (Missy), grandchildren: Eric Axley (Devan), Kyle Axley (Jessica), Tyler Axley (Kim), Landen Rossini (Katrina), Dylan Richardson (Alyssa), and Tori Timm (Zach), great-grandchildren: Caroline, Kylie, Journi, Emrys, Rylei, Aldric, and soon-to-be Teddy, sister: Jean Moon, several nieces and nephews, and special neighbors: Pat Melton and Gene Queen.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM with a funeral service at 7:00 PM at Ziegler Funeral Home with Steve Lakin officiating. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at McMinn Memory Gardens.
Eric Axley, Kyle Axley, Dylan Richardson, Tyler Axley, Zach Timm, and Jason Rossini will serve as pallbearers.
