Leslie "Les" Plunkett Obituary

Leslie “Les” Dale Plunkett, age 71, a native of West Terre Haute, IN and resident of Athens since 1996, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025. He was a retired manager from Buddy's Bar-B-Q after 22 years’ service.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Raymond and Nellie Shieks Plunkett, his loving wife of 52 years: Martha Sue Lawson Plunkett, a sister: Betty Ruth Plunkett, and two brothers: Denzil Wilson and Art Wilson.

Les is survived by his sons: Michael Plunkett (Christa Raney) of Venice, FL, Robert Plunkett (Brandy) of Whiteland, IN, and Matthew Plunkett (Stephanie) of Dallas, GA, a sister: Reba Endrijaitis, a brother: Gary Otto, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

There will be no formal visitation or funeral services.
