Louise (Blevins) Smith

Agnes Louise Blevins Smith, 85, of Riceville, TN, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 25, 2025. Louise retired from Charleston Hosiery/Renfro in 2004 after 45 years of service. She was an amazing cook who was known countywide for her banana pudding and chicken casserole. She loved gardening, traveling, and spending time with her husband fishing and golfing. Louise was a lifelong and faithful member of Sanford Baptist Church in Riceville, TN, where she served as the Nursery Sunday School teacher for almost four decades, sang in the choir, and helped coordinate meals for anyone in need. Above all, she loved the Lord with all her heart and lived a

life rooted in faith and service.

Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Winona Blevins; brothers, Argile Blevins and wife Jean; and Charles Blevins; sisters, Jewel Womac and husband Tom, Betty Weir and husband Clyde, Bonnie Long and husband Charles, and Lucille Deakins and husband Donald; brother-in-law, Bobby Clark; sister in-law, Adonya Smith.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving and dedicated husband of 66 years, Ruly Smith; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Jessi Smith of Charleston, TN; brothers, Paul (Shelby) Blevins of Florida, Arlie (Patsy) Blevins of Georgia, and Freddy (Delores) Blevins of Athens, TN; sister Loretta Clark of Riceville, TN; sister in-law, Frances Blevins of Riceville, TN; brothers in-law Gary Smith and Ricky Smith, both of Riceville, TN; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loved family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, August 27, at Sanford Baptist Church in Riceville, TN at 7 PM with Pastor Stan Cantrell and Rev. Floyd Boggess officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 4-7 PM. Graveside services will be on Thursday, August 28, at Lower Spring Creek UMC in Riceville, TN, at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude’s.

Mickey Blevins, Scotty Blevins, Byron Clark, Andrew Johnson, Ted Lewis, and Bruce Yarbrough will serve as pallbearers.
