Louise Farmer Williams, age 85, a native and lifelong resident of Athens, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026. She was a cook for the North Athens cafeteria and later retired from the Riceville Elementary School cafeteria. Lousie was a longtime member of South Liberty Church of Christ and played piano for Woodward Avenue Church of God in her early years.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Floyd and Ruby Eaton Farmer, her loving husband of 53 years: Boyd Allen Williams,
Louise is survived by her daughters: Ellen (Danny) Burris, Virginia (Terry) Ensley, Hollie (Steve) Buckner, and Brooke Lynn Williams, her grandchildren: Nigel (Lela) Burris, Heather Miller, and Christopher Miller, and her great-grandchildren: Tristan Miller, Will Greeno, Gemma Miller, Raeleigh Miller, Clara Miller, and Noah Warf, along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Ziegler Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 12:00-2:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Mike Williams officiating. Interment will follow at South Liberty Cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
