Loys Hubert Wright

Loys Hubert (L.H.) Wright, age 86, longtime resident of Riceville, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was a son of the late T.S. and Lou Dotson Wright. He was preceded in death by his wife: Betty Starkey Wright, and the mother of his children: Margaret Jo Goins Wright, a daughter: Tami Wright, sons: Ricky Wright and Rocky Wright, grandson: Ryne Thornburg, sisters: Regina “Jean” Goforth, Sue Davis, Hazel Hiefnar, and Marie Johnston, brother: Roy Wright.

He was a faithful member of Solid Rock Baptist Church and was a former employee of Pioneer Furniture.

Loys is survived by daughters:

Son: Brandon Wright

Grandchildren: Mitzi Thornburg Mew, Dana Thornburg Coffman, Mandy Tallent Bivens, Blaina Tallent Best, Brooke Tallent Curtis, Russell Tallent, MaTasha Thorne, Tiffany Evans Barnes, Madison Wright, Gavin Wright and Randy Evans

Great grandchildren: Bryce Goodner, Marshall Goodner, Charlie Mew, Kenadee Coffman, Spencer Mew, Caitlynn Hill, Gage Millsaps, Gunter Millsaps, Jocilynn Latham, Nick Tallent, Audriana Best, Abram Curtis, Jaxton Tallent, Allibeth Best, Ellie Curtis, Hannah Evans, Christian Rhiley Cooper, Maddin Thorne, Richard Cooper, Marcey Evans and Zoey Cooper

Great-great grandchildren: Winsley Jane Hill and Charlee Kate Castle

Along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Ziegler Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Scott Martin and Pastor Ashley Mew officiating.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Eastanallee Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Ashley Mew, Justin Coffman, Eric Best, Brent Bivens, Bryce Goodner, Marshall Goodner and Randy Evans.

Family and friends will assemble at Ziegler Funeral Home at 10:00 AM to proceed to the cemetery.
