Marjorie Ellen Panzenhagen, age 92, of Athens died peacefully Saturday, March 27, 2021 with her husband and daughters by her side.
Marjorie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend of many. During her life she worked tirelessly as a homemaker, seamstress and craftswoman and for a period in the 1970s made purses that were sold on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her father and mother, Otto and Laura Bublitz of Owen, Wisconsin, and siblings Virgil Bublitz and Loraine Bublitz House.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Fred Panzenhagen;
daughters Karen Lackey and Janis Puglisi;
grandchildren Anastasia Avello, Nikolaos Strickland, Kathryn Shaver, and Sasha Webb;
great grandchildren Kloe, Landen, Ethan and Nolan Shaver; Madelyn, Noah and Natalie Strickland, and Ava and Claire Webb;
other family include Tana House Phillips, Ken House, Corey House, Kathleen Imhoff, Joyce Polson, Gail Stream, Bill Graham, Carole Graham, Kathi Graham, Glen, Perry, Kurt and Tim Bublitz and Don Panzenhagen.
A Celebration of Life announcement will be forthcoming and will be in Athens, Tennessee.
