Mark is preceded in death by his parents: James C. and Bobbie Coleman Phillips, and a sister: Patricia Howell.

He is survived by a sister: Sharon Livingston, brother: Mike Phillips, special friend: Susan Lingerfelt, along with several nieces and nephews.
