Martha Sue (Lawson) Plunkett

Martha Sue Lawson Plunkett, age 71, native of Terre Haute, IN and longtime resident of McMinn County, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025. She was an employed with Buddy's bar-b-q for many years. Martha was of the Pentecostal faith.

She is preceded in death by her mother: Lillie Phipps Lawson, sisters: Mary Kent, Becky Carty, and Janie Reynolds, and her brothers: Kelly Lawson, Denver Lawson, and Charlie Lawson.

Martha is survived by her husband of 52 years: Les Plunkett of Athens, her sons: Michael Plunkett (Christa Raney) of Venice, FL, Robert Plunkett (Brandy) of Whiteland, IN, and Matthew Plunkett (Stephanie) of Dallas, GA, sisters: Jewel Smith (Robert) of Brazil, IN, and Jody Francis (Bob) of Peru, IN, brothers: James Lawson (Penny) of Terre Haute, IN, Louis Lawson of Terre Haute, IN, and Curtis Lawson of Franklin, IN, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

There will be no formal visitation or funeral services.
