Mary Delores (Waters) Roberts

Mary Delores Waters Roberts, age 90, of Ten Mile, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Sweetwater Hospital.

She was a resident of Ten Mile since 1964 and was a member of Grandview Church of Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Mary Miller Waters, A son; James Hilton Sumner, Brothers: William, Willis, Jim, Frank, Charlie and Mike Waters, Sister: Nellie Garris.

Mary is survived by her husband of 56 years: Edd “Beman” Barney Roberts, daughter: Betty June Sumner.

Grandchildren: Adam Slovenski, Ashley Short, Maryellen Uriostegui, Simon Sumner, Tyler Sumner and Josh Sumner.

13 Great-grandchildren.

Sister: Earleane Jackson, and Brother: Jerry Waters (Brenda).  Several nieces and nephews.

A sister in law, who was like a sister: Marynell Waters.  A former daughter in law, who was like a daughter: Teresa Sumner Venham.

Family and friends will meet at 11 AM in Roberts Cemetery in Ten Mile TN, on Thursday, August 8, 2024, for a graveside service to be conducted by Rev. Lawrence Waller.

Pallbearers will be: Tyler Sumner, Galdino Uriostegui, John Kitchen, Tristin Johnson, Charles Waller, and Noah O’Dell.
