Meghan Kay Peeler Carter, age 24, of Riceville, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022.
Meghan was a native of Athens and lifelong resident of McMinn County. She is preceded by maternal great grandparents Louis and Ruth Ann Crittenden Plemons, and Richard and Elizabeth Zanker Bartlett, paternal grandfather Gilbert Peeler, and paternal great grandfather J.H. Smith.
Meghan was of the Baptist Faith.
Meghan is survived by her husband Brandon Carter of Jasper;
Father Travis Peeler of Athens;
Mother Melissa Plemons Peeler of Etowah;
Daughters Thessa Carter and Nikita Carter, both of Jasper;
Sister Nichole Peeler of Etowah;
Brothers Travis Peeler, Jr. of Riceville and Nathaniel Plemons of Tellico Plains;
Paternal Grandmother Karen Smith of GA;
Paternal Great Grandmother Lurlyne Smith of GA;
Maternal Grandfather Jack Plemons of Riceville;
Maternal Grandmother Kim Plemons of Etowah;
Many Nieces and Nephews.
A Memorial Service will be at 4 PM Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Ziegler Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 2 PM – 4 PM Thursday.
