Michael John Wright, Sr

Michael John Wright, Sr, 66, former resident of Beloit, WI, and a resident of Niota for two years, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023, at his residence. Michael retired from the City of Beloit Public Works Department after 37 years. He was a huge Green Bay Packers fan, enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.

Michael was the son of the late Hazel Quinn. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Irene Wright.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Lauren Bender Wright of Niota, two sons: Michael John Wright, Jr (Elena) of Beloit, WI, and Matthew Robert Wright of Peoria, IL, four grandchildren: Michael John Wright III, Kairi Wright, Tianna Wright, and Adrian Wright. He is further survived by two half-sisters: Victoria and Pamela of New Jersey, a dear friend, Laurie Zimmerman, along with several other close friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service with a luncheon to follow on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Beloit Free Methodist Church 1919 Cleora Drive, Beloit, WI with Pastor Rich Whippler.
