Michael "Mike" Eugene Guffey

Michael Eugene “Mike” Guffey, age 49, of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. He enjoyed fishing, metal detecting, and Civil War reenactments. He was employed with the United States Postal Service for 24 years.

Mike and his wife, Timberly own Fuller’s Frame Shop.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 30 years: Timberly Fuller Guffey, his parents: Gene Guffey (Susie) and Irene Huff (Steven), sons: Joshua Guffey (Savannah) and Samuel Guffey (girlfriend: Angel Pierce), brothers: Brian Guffey (Janet) and Tony Guffey, sister: Maria Gennoe (Stacey), aunts: Geneva Guffey and Julie Harris, uncles: Samson Guffey and Carroll Fisher, and several special cousins.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Ziegler Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 4:00 PM with Reverend Stacey Gennoe officiating.
