Mildred Catherine Stephens Martin, age 72, of Athens, passed away
Friday, January 31, 2020, at Hospice Care Center of Chattanooga.
A native Sweetwater and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Lucille Tuck Stephens and was preceded in death by a Sister; Nancy; and Brothers; Ralph, Clinton, Duck, and Charles. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include;
Daughters and a son in law;
Angel Givens and Alex Roach of Sweetwater
Susan Martin of Athens
Connie Walker of Athens
Penny Martin and Fiancé Roger Gann of Sweetwater
A Son; Johnathan Manis
Brother; John B. Stephens of Georgia
Grandchildren; Brittany, Mindy, Laura, Leon, Jr., Lucas, Shawn, Johnathan, Tylan, Ciara, Damien, Haley, Makatylan, Steven, Pebbles, Nicole, and Kyle;
Nine great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
A special neighbor; Kristy Rees.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Roland Malone and Rev. Jerry Culberson officiating. Burial will be in Hampton Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be; Leon Givens, Jr., Lucas Givens, Johnathan Witt,Tylan Walker, Damien Witt, and Alex Roach.
The family will receive friends Monday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
