Minnie Thomas Obituary
Minnie Mae Bridwell Thomas, age 91, longtime resident of McMinn County, passed away at Life Care Center of Athens on Wednesday, November 15, 2023.
Minnie was a daughter of the late Barnie Sr. and Elvira Pritchett Bridwell. She is also preceded by her brother: Norman (Jack) Bridwell.
She is survived by daughter: Martha Ann Shoemaker (Michael) of Cleveland, sons: Kenneth E. Thomas II (Jill) of Layton, Utah and Karl Edward Thomas (Beth) of Athens, TN, 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, sisters: Irene Dennis, Edith Shepherd, Opal Bright, June Jenkins (Cleo), Bertie Edwards (Jerry), Susie Melton (Donnie), and a brother: Barnie Bridwell, Jr. (Marie).
The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 20, 2023, at St. Mary Catholic Church. A funeral mass will follow at 10:30 AM with Reverend Dr. John Arthur Orr officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Decatur.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Sevcik, Drew Thomas, Jackson Thomas, and Michael Shoemaker.
