Neda Marie (Kennedy) Clark

Neda Marie Kennedy Clark, age 85, of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at her granddaughter’s house in Lenoir City. 

Neda was a native of Athens and lifelong resident of McMinn County.  She was the daughter of the late Lester and Nellie Hampton Kennedy.  She was also preceded in death by her former husband Ernie Clark and sister Linda Fay Burns.

Neda is survived by

Daughter Judy Anne Freeman (fiancé Ralph Kennedy) of Philadelphia;

Stepson who was like a son Marty Clark of Sweetwater;

Grandchildren Kim Woody (Boyd) of Lenoir City, Jennifer Crowder of Englewood, and Sabrina Ellison (James) of Athens;

Step Granddaughter Laura Swafford;

Great Grandchildren Haylee Hamilton (fiancé Zackery Hawkins), Zachary Clark (fiancé Lauren McDonald), Michelle Brooks, Makayla Cooper, Brandon Buckner, Thomas Fowler, and Christian Fowler.

Funeral Services will be at 2 PM Monday, August 29, 2022, at the Ziegler Funeral Home with Brother Gary Crisp officiating.  A burial will follow at Rogers Creek Cemetery.  

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 12 PM – 2 PM Monday at Ziegler Funeral Home.
