Nettie Mae Kugler, age 81, of Athens,
Passed away on Friday July 29th at her home, peacefully in her sleep. She had been dealing with a number of complicated health issues that were a constant daily struggle but found peace in the end. She was the steadfast unshakable rock of her family. She is now reunited with her husband Billy Wayne (June 27, 2015) and oldest son Jimmy (November 13, 2015) and the many others who have gone before us. She is welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
She was born in Riceville, TN on September 6, 1940, and was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Willie May (Bottoms) Walker, along with siblings Josephine, Henrietta, Bud, and Betty. Nettie was a long time Athens resident who married Billy Wayne Kugler of Cordova, Alabama on January 18th, 1958, and together they raised 4 sons. They set an example for marriage and commitment that has had a lasting impact on all of those who knew them. Nettie was a loving wife, wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

The immediate family will be receiving family and friends on Tuesday August 2nd at Ziegler Funeral Home from 1 pm - 2 pm with a graveside service to follow at 2:30 pm at McMinn Memory Gardens.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
