Oneida Perry Grubb, age 96, a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
She is preceded in death by her parents: David Lester and Mary Wade Perry, her loving husband of 72 years: Daily Willard “Jack” Grubb, a sister: Pollie Perry Walden, and a brother: Curtis Perry.
Oneida is survived by her daughter: Melinda Miller (Ronnie), and her son: Jacky Grubb (Rebecca).
Oneida, like Jack, was a devout member of Clearwater Baptist Church. She was a secretary at Athens Table Company for 50 years.
She was the exemplary example of a kind, selfless, Christian woman and so loved and admired by many. She attended many baseball, football, softball, and basketball games, in which her children played. Also, many swim meets, cheerleading and dance/ballet performances, school events, church plays, dress parades, band concerts, etc….she was ALWAYS there. She was a huge sports fan and loved her Volunteers and her Atlanta Braves.
A graveside service will be held at Clearwater Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 10:30 AM, with Reverend Greg Hutsell officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
