Patricia Diane (Meadows) Cook

Patricia “Diane” Meadows Cook, age 66, of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Tennova Healthcare in Cleveland. 

Diane was a native of Meigs County and longtime resident of McMinn County.  She was the daughter of the late J.B. Meadows Sr. and Opel Letner Meadows.  She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years Ronnie Ray Cook on May 4, 2021, and sisters Rosemary Meadows, Brenda Swafford, Margaret Brady, and brother J.B. “Junior” Meadows.

Diane was a member of City Park Chapel Church of God of Prophecy. She always enjoyed singing, often going to nursing homes to minister to the residents.

Diane is survived by

Son Christopher Cook of Athens;

Sisters Lois Christian of Cleveland and Phyllis Butcher of GA;

Sister-In-Law Barbara Meadows of Ten Mile;

Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins whom she dearly loved.

Funeral Services will be at 10 AM Friday, August 19, 2022, at the Ziegler Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Brown officiating.  A burial will follow at McMinn Memory Gardens.  

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 9 AM – 10 AM Friday at Ziegler Funeral Home.
