Patricia Ann (Yarbrough) Ion

Patricia Ann Yarbrough Ion, age 75, a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025. She was a lifetime member of the AMVETS Post 100 Auxiliary in Etowah.  

She was preceded in death by her parents: William David and Edna Rea Cabet Yarbrough, first husband: Jerry F. Ingram, brothers: Ross Yarbrough and Ray Yarbrough, and her sons-in-law: Billy Ray Lankford and Scotty Lynn Grady.

Patricia is survived by her husband: Michael Kenneth Ion of Riceville, her daughters: Debbie Yarbrough of Athens, Joyce Grady of Riceville, and Geraldine Russell of Riceville, grandchildren: Amanda Ann Shimbir (Ayanle), William Lawrence Morgan (Christina), and Jerry Robert Morgan (Christina), 13 great-grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.

Visitation will be held from 11:30 AM-1:30 PM on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Ziegler Funeral Home, with funeral services at 1:30 PM. Pastor Anthony Johnson will be officiating. Interment will follow at McMahan Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.

William Morgan, James Morgan, Joy Farner, William Morgan, Jr, and Paul Camacho will serve as pallbearers.
