Patrick Jan Cooley, Riceville, Tennessee, went home to his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. Patrick was born in Athens and moved to Cleveland, Tennessee in his childhood with his parents, Jack Cooley and Sue Cooley.
Patrick is survived by his wife, Christi, and two loving daughters: Ciara and Civanna. He was blessed with a granddaughter, Lilly Ann. He is survived by a loving sister, Elizabeth (Beth) and his loving sister-in-law, Carla.
Patrick loved his family with all his heart, and he loved being Lilly Ann’s Papaw. At his core, he was a hardworking, passionate man who loved God and his country, and he served his country proudly. Patrick was a veteran serving in the US Army and National Guard Reserves. He was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division and participated in missions in twenty-seven countries. Patrick was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature enjoying our beautiful East Tennessee mountains and rivers with his family and friends. He loved life and lived it on his own terms. Patrick was a kind soul that helped many people during his time on earth. He was fun and could tell a great story that would make you laugh. Everyone would be blessed to have a friend like Patrick. He was one-of-a-kind and will be greatly missed.
