Peggy Jean (Cox) Carver

Peggy Jean Cox Carver, age 87, native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026. She was a member of Clearwater Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Albert and Lucille Miller Cox, husband: Franklin “Boo-Boo” Carver, a sister: Louise Bohannon, and a brother: Lewis Cox.

Peggy is survived by her sons: Don Carver (Tammy) and Tony Carver (Ginger), her grandchildren: Joshua Carver (Amanda) and Jessica Carver, a great grandson: D.J. Carver, along with several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at McMinn Memory Gardens on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM, with Joshua Carver officiating.  

Joshua Carver, Mike Bohannon, Jimmy Lawson, Richard Warfield, Jesse Schabell, and Chris Wright will serve as pallbearers. D.J. Carver will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
