Raymond Dills Obituary

Glenn “Raymond” Dills, age 68, a native and longtime resident of McMinn County, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026. He was a longtime member of West End Baptist Church.

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Raymond Dills.

For nearly 50 years, Raymond was a beloved part of our Cherokee family, serving as an honorary manager for Tribe Boys Basketball. He was a true Cherokee legend whose kindness, loyalty, and unwavering support left a lasting impact on generations of players, coaches, and students.

Raymond greeted everyone with a smile and had a way of making each person feel valued and welcome. His presence on the sidelines and around our school will be deeply missed. We are grateful for the many years he gave to our program and our community. His legacy will always be a part of Cherokee.

Once a Cherokee, always a Cherokee. ”
