Raymond E Henry

Raymond E. Henry, age 89, native and lifelong resident of Athens, passed away on November 16, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Cicero and Bertha Swafford Henry, his wife of 67 years: Dorothy Mae McElhaney Henry, along with several brothers and sisters.

Raymond is survived by his daughters: Dot Henry, Donna Henry Joyner, Lisa Henry and Mark Smith of Temecula, CA, sons: Calvin R. Henry and wife Wanda, Rex Henry and wife Kathy, Michael Henry, Jerry Henry, Danny Henry and Frankie “Bo” Henry and Tammy Stanford, 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery in Riceville with Reverend Jimmy Lewis officiating. A Remembrance Service will be held at 4:00 PM at The Double C, 1084 TN Highway 30 West in Athens.

Raymond’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
