Ronald Jay Lyon

Ronald Jay Lyon, age 70, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at his residence. He loved and served the Lord his entire life. Ronald was a member of The Upper Room Church in Riceville, where he served as the Sunday School Superintendent.

 He is preceded by his parents: Paul Edmon and Lonnie Mae Tumlin Lyon, and his wife: Cathy Lynn Bates Lyon.

Ronald is survived by his daughter: Andrea Brewer (Clifford, Jr.), a brother: Laddie Lyon (Thelma), along with many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to offer special thanks to all of Ron’s caregivers.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Friday, July 5, 2024, at The Upper Room Church with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM with Pastor Caleb Leamon and Pastor Billy Leamon officiating. Interment will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Clifford Brewer, Nick Thompson, Nate Milligan, Laddie Lyon, Jim Lake, and Jesika Short will serve as pallbearers.
