Sarah Beth Isbill Bridges, 90, of Isle Of Palms, South Carolina, daughter of the late Waffie Isbill Cardin, was born and raised in Englewood, TN. She was an 8th generation Tennessean and a 5th great granddaughter of Zachariah Isbill, a founding father of the State of Tennessee. She was a lifelong Baptist and a proud member of The First Families of Tennessee and First Families of the Cherokee Nation. She entered into eternal rest Saturday, September 21, 2024. Her Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2024, in First Baptist Church, 61 Church St., Charleston, SC at 1:00 pm. Family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Mt. Arnon-Manila Methodist Cemetery in Englewood, TN. Arrangements in South Carolina by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. and in Tennessee by Ziegler Funeral Home.
Those who knew her well will remember a true Southern lady who loved the Lord, traveled the world and was a loyal fan of the Tennessee Vols. Most of all, she was fiercely devoted to her family.
Preceded in death by Robert, her husband of 42 years, she is survived by their son, Robert W. Bridges of Savannah, GA.; daughters, Sheree L. Bridges, and Susan E. Bridges, both of Isle of Palms, SC; grandchildren: Robert M. Bridges (Hollis) of Windsor, VA. and Mary Boykin Bridges Taylor of Pooler, GA.; great-grandchildren: Brooks Taylor, Lane Bridges, and Bennett Bridges.
