Shirlene (Dyke) Raper

Shirlene Dyke Raper, age 82, a native and lifetime resident of McMinn County, passed away at her son’s home in Cookeville on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Luther and Lola Mae Bowers Dyke, her husband of 39 years: Daniel Avery Raper, and her siblings: Sue Cline, Willie Ruth Williams, Eva Buckner, Faye Anderson, Trula Dyke, and Ricky Dyke.

Shirlene is survived by her daughter: Dannette Scheuermann, a son: Stephen Raper (Kelli), grandsons: Jayce and Jordan Raper, and a sister: Mary Dyke.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Cochran Cemetery with Reverend Russ Maples officiating.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
