Stephen "Steve" Lawrence Robbins

Stephen “Steve” Lawrence Robbins, age 75, a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025. He was retired after 27 years with Johns Manville where he worked as a superintendent. Steve served in the National Guard and was a member of Triumphant Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Isaac “Ike” and Sylvia Brogan Robbins.

Steve is survived by his wife of 38 years: Deanna Strickland Robbins of Athens, a daughter: Shelli Runyan (Sam), and a son: Michael Maney (Vivian) of North Carolina, grandchildren: Zakkery Teague, Logan Teague, Keith and Makayla Maney, and Elizabeth Fournier, his brothers-in-law: Andy Strickland (Bonnie) and Tommy Strickland, along with several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to offer special thanks to Scott and Susan Standridge.

A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at a later date.
