Susan Alice (Roberts) Lewis

Susan Alice Roberts Lewis, age 77, of Ten Mile, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at her residence.

Susan lived her life as a channel of God’s love flowing out to reach others.

At the age of 9, she gave her life to the Lord and remained a faithful servant of the Lord until He called her home.

Susan was a native and lifelong resident of Meigs County.  She was a daughter of the late

James D. Roberts and Elzora “Ma” Robinson Roberts.  She was also preceded in death by her Husbands; Wendell Lewis and David Decker, brothers; Junior Roberts and wife Catherine, and Creed Roberts, sisters; Elizabeth Roberts and husband J.D., Bonnie Raby and husband Joe, and Ann Gill; Niece Diane P. Roberts.

Susan worked for many years as a CNA with Decatur Health Care, and per her employee evaluation, she was recognized for her dedication and love of care for all residents.  She participated with the Women’s Ministry with the Bledsoe Correction Facility and the McMinn County Justice Center. Susan conducted a radio broadcast “Harvest Time Ministries” from 2006 until August of 2022.  She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic Church and Highway to Heaven Church.

Susan is survived by her daughters:

Joy Lewis and Wayne Kuykendall of Ten Mile

Liddia Holder (Andy) of Athens

Grandchildren; Tanner Bearith (Monika) of Knoxville and Rayne Holder of Athens.

Brother; Barney “B-Man” Roberts (Deloris) of Ten Mile.

Brother in law; Stephen Gill of Ten Mile

A Celebration of Susan's life will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, September 21, at Highway to Heaven Church located at 1413 Knoxville Ave, Athens, TN.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm prior to the service at the church.

There will be a time of fellowship in the fellowship hall immediately following the service.
