Theresa Rozich Sloan, age 89 of Athens, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022 at her home at Dominion Senior Living in Athens, TN.
Theresa was born in Ahmeek, MI, to the late Stephen and Theresa Krivic Rozich. She and husband Bill raised their children in Norwalk, CA and upon retirement from Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District, they moved to Menifee, CA. In November of 2021, she moved to Athens, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her son, James Ray Sloan, May 6, 2007, and her beloved husband of 58 years, William Oakley Sloan, Jr., May 8, 2013.
Theresa loved spending time with family and friends, especially her children, 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. More than anything, Theresa loved Jesus with all her heart and her life certainly portrayed that love.
Theresa is survived by her
Daughter Debra Hixson (Rick) of Bakersfield, CA;
Son Greg Sloan (Denise) of Riceville and Daniel Sloan (Bridget) of Bullhead City, AZ;
Grandchildren Kevin Torbert, Erin Thomas (Drew), Melissa Carter (Billy), Keith Sloan (Kim), Tanya Bates (Dustin), Priscilla Johnson (Josh), Nathan Sloan (Amanda), Karissa Eaton (Joseph) and Eric Sloan (Morgan);
Great Grandchildren;
Many extended family and friends.
There will be a private burial at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California, at a later date.
The family would like to expressly thank Dominion Senior Living and their entire staff for their love, care, and compassion throughout Theresa’s residency, especially during the last two weeks. The love, care and compassion you incessantly displayed will never be forgotten.
