Vickie Darlene (Howard) Townsend

Vickie Darlene Howard Townsend, age 68, of Athens, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Decatur Wellness and Rehab Center in Decatur.

Vickie was a native and lifelong resident of the Idlewild Community near Athens.  She was the daughter of the late Ben and Ruby Hill Howard.  She is also preceded by daughter Tiffany Townsend, son Travis Townsend and brother Phillip Howard.

Vickie is survived by

Sister-In-Law Launa Howard of Marianna, FL;

Nieces Suzette McCoy and Misty Hanlon, both of Marianna, FL;

Special Friend Michael Rinehart of Athens.

Graveside Services will be at 11 AM Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Upper Spring Creek Cemetery with Rev. Carroll Hamilton officiating.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM Tuesday.
