Passed away Thursday evening, February 12, 2020

At Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville

A native of Rome, GA. and longtime resident of McMinn County, he was the son of the late Walter Frank and Lucille Land Sharp and was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Anita Anderson.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in the Special Forces of the 82nd Airborne Division and served in the ministry for over 43 years.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years,

   Glenda Ray Sharp of Athens

Two daughters and one son-in-law,

   Lorraine and Michael Brown of Rome, GA.

   Deanna Maulden of Athens

Grandchildren: Scott Daniel, Faith White, Renae Massey, Charity Maulden, Jeffrey Cordle, and Rachel Anderson.

One brother and sister-in-law,

   Gary and Nita Sharp of Rome, GA.

Three sisters and one brother-in-law,

   Loveta Motes of Rome, GA.

   Edith Sharp of Rome, GA.

   Darlene and Jim Hubbard of Rome, GA.

Graveside services will be 1 pm Friday in Cedar Grove Cemetery with Rev. Todd Abraham officiating.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
