Wanda Faye (Smith) Tallent

Wanda Faye Smith Tallent, age 78, of Athens, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 28, 2023.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, Bynom Charles and Edna Holte Smith, her loving husband of 56 years, Cullen Austin Tallent, her brother, Bobby Smith, and her sister, Glenda Teague. Wanda retired from Thomas and Betts after 42 years of service and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Athens. She enjoyed cooking and watching the Tennessee Volunteers and Atlanta Braves.

She is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Leamon (Scott), grandchildren Dylan Leamon and Rachel Leamon, a sister, Geneva McBroom (Roy), and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at McMinn Memory Gardens on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 11:00 AM with Brother Jerry Stephens officiating.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
