Wendell Price, age 82, a longtime resident of McMinn County, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. He was a Master Mason in the Thomas A. Hamilton Masonic Lodge #317 and was retired from Hiwassee Land Company after 26 years. Wendell was a member of Clay Hill Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Dewey and Maggie Walls Price, his loving wife of 59 years: Octsie Pauline Hammonds Price, a son: Marty Price, and a son-in-law: Doug Duggan.
Wendell is survived by a daughter: Stephanie “Sis” Duggan, sister: Susie Glover (Wendell), brother-in-law: Art Rodgers, and sister-in-law: Terry Nesmith, grandchildren: Marty Price (Brittany), Stephen Duggan, and Lucky Duggan, great-grandchildren: Bryson Price and Jorja Price, along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:00–2:00 PM on Sunday, August 25, 2024. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at Ziegler Funeral Home with Reverend Craig Wilcox officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Etowah.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
