William Max Riden

William Max Riden, age 80, native of Athens and longtime resident of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024. He was retired from Combustion Engineering and a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #43. William was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Samuel H. and Martha E. Cooper Riden, along with six brothers and three sisters.

William is survived by his sisters: Virginia Vandiver of Ringgold, GA and Sara Riden of Hoover, AL, along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 AM on Thursday August 29, 2024, at Ziegler Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 11:00 A.M. at McMinn Memory Gardens with Allen Morrell officiating.  

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
