Opal “Dolly” Mae Kelley, 89, passed away peacefully at home with family on August 11, 2017.
Dolly was born February 23, 1928 in McMinn County, the daughter of Gary Johnson and Eddie Graham of North Carolina. Dolly was a long-time resident of Calhoun where she retired as a cook from Calhoun Elementary School. A consummate mother and grandmother, Dolly loved and enjoyed spending time with her family. She had an unwavering faith in God and was a member of the Calhoun First Baptist Church.
Dolly was predeceased by her loving husband of 38 years, Oscar Kelley, her son, DeWitt Kelley and her five brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her sons Larry, Rodney and Michael, along with nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be held 11:00 am Friday, August 18, 2017 where Dolly will be buried beside her husband in the Calhoun Cemetery with the Rev. Kevin Cheathum officiating.
The family will be holding a memorial service at Calhoun First Baptist Church on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 11:00am.
