BILLIE FRANCES (MANERY) TORBETT

Billie Frances Manery Torbett, age 86, of Englewood, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was the daughter of the late George Washington Manery and Margret Bell Manery and was preceded in death by three sisters, Judy Karabastis, Sue Macus, and Inez Toomey; two brothers, Colonial Manery and Buddy Manery.  She retired from Crescent Hosiery Mill and was a member of First Church of God in Athens.

Survivors include her husband of 69 years,

   Reese R. Torbett of Englewood

One daughter and son-in-law,

   Cynthia and Roy Chism of Englewood

One son and daughter-in-law,

   Rick and Cindy Torbett of Woodstock, GA.

Five grandchildren: Candyce Casteel, Brandon Carroll, Brittney Carroll, Melissa Collier and Amanda Torbett.

Five great grandchildren: Brianna Vasquez, Brent Carroll, Kelby Casteel, Ethan Zwiezynski, and Cayden Zwiezynski

Great great granddaughter: Ella Vasquez

Two sisters and one brother-in-law,

   Leovia Charles of Sumter, SC.

   Etoia and Kenneth Price of Cleveland

Funeral services will be 7 pm Friday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Chism officiating.  Burial will be 11 am Saturday in Greenhill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Rick Torbett, Bill Crofts, Walter Newman, Jerry Pearson, Brandon Carroll, Joe Sneed and Ralph Buchanan.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Friday at the funeral home.
