Passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018

At Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville

A native of Coker Creek and longtime resident of McMinn County, he was the son of the late General ross and Dessie Aleene Anderson Smith and was preceded in death by three sisters, Audrey Woody, Margie Crawford, and Barbara Morrow; brother, Tommy Smith; i2 infants, Mary Frances Smith and William Smith. He was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Christy

One son, Jeffery Smith

Several grandchildren

Two sisters and one brother-in-law,

   Geneva Pendergrass of Cleveland

   Shirley and Bud Foister of Maryville

Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 am Monday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Jason Butte officiating. Burial will follow in Coker Creek Cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
