HAZEL LEE (JONES) VISAGE

Hazel Lee Jones Visage, age 93, of Athens, was blessed to go to her eternal home on Thursday, December 5, 2019.

A native and resident of McMinn County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest L. and Mary Stanton Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Gordon “Bud” Visage; and a son, Terry Lee Visage. Hazel retired from American Can after 32 years of service and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Hazel was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was a woman who never met a stranger and showered those around her with love and lots of laughter.  Her commitment to the Lord showed in all her actions.  Without ceasing, she prayed blessings over her future generations. She was unconditionally loved and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law,

Carolyn and Randy Kethcart of Tinley Park, IL.

Tina South and Andy Butler of Riceville, TN.

Three sons and daughters-in-law,

Dave and Pat Visage of Cleveland, TN.

Don and Barb Visage of Palos Hills, IL.

Cliff and Dawn Visage of Riceville, TN.

One sister; Ernestine Ballard of Las Vegas, NV.

One brother; Robert Jones of Camp Douglas, WI.

A Very Special Niece; Charlotte Campbell, Her best friend of over 40 years; Kathy Layman, and special friend and caregiver; Mary Bush.

Funeral services will be 7 pm Sunday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with and Rev. Brian Miller and Rev. Jack Scallions officiating.  Burial will be 11 am Monday in Sullins Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Logan South, Hunter South, Billy Visage, Donnie Visage,

TJ Visage, and Jerry Visage.

The family will receive friends from 3-7 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
